Tea review: Portland Breakfast

Writer: dstewartdstewart

Another tea created for local shop Olive and Vine, this blended black tea adds a bit of rose petals in a nod to our Rose City. Like its companion tea, St Johns Breakfast, this tea offers a mellow flavor profile that is well-balanced between bitter, sweet, malty, and astringent. The addition of a hint of rose is what really elevates this tea for me. The sweetness is more forward, with a slightly floral finish. Don't let the rose petals put you off; this tea isn't strongly floral at all. Rather, it is a balanced black tea blend with an intriguing and charming sweetness that will make you smile. This is a wonderful tea at a very affordable price. Highly recommended!
